Reducing Rubber Expansion Joint

Reducing Rubber Expansion Joints available in Australia with free delivery*. We supply rubber expansion joints to all cities in Australia, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin, Canberra and Hobart.

Used for joining two pipes of different sizes. Available in both concentric and eccentric designs, with mould types and hand made types.

It is recommended that any reducing rubber expansion joint over size DN300 (12") is fitted with control rods, as in the larger size models, the smaller end acts like a lever.

Flexible rubber reducers provide a better purpose in a pipeline compared with a metal reducer. The rubber reducers are excellent for allowing expansion, contraction, angular movement and vibration elimination between pipes of different sizes.

The reducing rubber expansion joint is available as a hand built product or mould manufactured using high strength and high quality rubber.

The first design is a one arch rubber spool with full rubber faces, providing good movement and flexibility, vibration control and dampening, taking up pipe misalignment, thermal expansion and more. A steel flange acts as a backing ring, and to enable nuts and washers to be securely tightened. The full rubber flange face provides an excellent seal.

The second design is a single sphere mould, that does not have full rubber faces but still providing good movement and flexibility, vibration control and dampening, taking up pipe misalignment, thermal expansion and more.

Concentric type

The concentric reducing type has the same centre line for both ends, therefore the centre of the pipe remains the same.

Eccentric type

The eccentric reducing type does not have the same centre line, so the centre of the pipeline will be changed using the eccentric type.

Filled Arch type

The filled arch type is to be used on suction pipes as the negative pressure rating is 750mm.H.g.

The filled arch type is to be used on mining slurry applications as it is hard wearing and no slurry will get trapped inside with its smooth straight filled arch bore. Other applications include de-watering suction pipes, dredging suction pipes, sand/gravel, mineral processing and tailings.

Unfilled Arch type

The unfilled arch type is good for any application where elongation, compression and angular movement is required with vibration absorption.
